How to sneak downstairs if you sleep upstairs tutorial
How to Sneak Downstairs to Watch TV at Night
Make sure your parents/roommates are asleep.Keep track of when they go to sleep so if they go late then just do other things in the meantime.
Wear socks which won't make a noise if you have wooden flooring. Also try walking on your tip toes or heels.
Have the TV on low.Obviously, make sure no one heard it. It would be cool if you could have tv connected to a pair of headphones.
Try not to keep too many lights on.Or none at all. It will wake the family up and then you will get caught.
Don't play games or watch TV for too long, for your parents may awake to come and check on you in the middle of the night.Try to stay awake some nights before to see what time your parents tend to awake from their slumber.
QuestionIf my door is creaky when I open it, and my parents come in and I tell them I'm going to the bathroom and I couldn't sleep. What should I do?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerSay you are going to the bathroom. Pretend to go and then go back to your bedroom and close the door so they think you are in your room but really you are on the outside of the door. Then enjoy your evening. Thanks!

- Wear dark clothes or pajamas to blend in, preferably dark blue. Black won't blend properly.
- Adjust the darkness on the screen.
- If parents are light sleepers keep all the lights off and tv on mute with caption (if your tv has that) or very low. If they come down shut your eyes and pretend you are asleep
- if they ask why you were down their say you couldn't sleep
- If your parents catch you on your way down, say you were going to the bathroom. Of course, then you will at least have to pretend to go to the bathroom.
