Michael Jackson - Remember The Time (Official Video)

Do You Remember The First Record You Ever Bought?

Following the exciting announcement earlier this week that the Official Charts Company has launched an official weekly vinyl chart, it got us feeling all nostalgic here at W&H as we rememebered the first record we ever bought. In the days before singles and albums were available at the click of a button, most of us would head down to our local record store to browse the glorious rows of vinyls, CDs and tapes. Whether yours was a CD, a vinyl or a download, let us know what the first record you ever bought was and add it to the list below. Here are ours…

‘Sittin’ in the morning sun, I’ll be sittin’ when the evening comes…’ Woman and Home Editorial Director Sue James’ first record was Otis Redding’s soulful early motown song The Dock of the Bay.

Homes Editor Alison Davidson’s first record was Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Our Social Editor Abigail Malbon’s first record was ‘Spice’ by the nineties pop sensation, Spice Girls.

Beauty Director Jo Glanville-Blackburn’s first record was The Fine Art Of Surfing by The Boomtown Rats.
